For customers requiring design services for RF systems, Syntech provide design support for cost reduction, obsolescence, design centring, verification test and regulatory approval.

Syntech's RF and wireless design is backed up with a comprehensive range of test equipment including an anechoic chamber facility.

The use of automated RF test solutions is an essential part of achieving, low cost, volume production. Syntech’s engineering team have a long history in providing solutions to minimise production test times and optimise production yield.

 

Manufacturing

The co-location of engineering and manufacturing ensures trouble free builds regardless of the current development stage of the product.

Our team of production engineers has a wealth of experience in global manufacturing operations, ensuring that every product we manufacture for our customers is produced to precise quality and performance standards.  We use optical inspection, X-ray, flying probe and in circuit test to constantly review our build quality.

Our volume Surface Mount assembly lines are based on Fuji IP3 and Fuji CP6 machines, which providing a comprehensive capability supporting virtually any SMT components.

For through hole components or mixed technology boards we use semi automatic assembly machines, ensuring accuracy and consistent quality. 

In order to provide the highest possible yield and accuracy, a five camera optical inspection system ensures accurate placement and positioning of all components.  For a greater degree of inspection we employ an X-ray inspection system capable of detailed joint and void inspection.  BGA rework and prototype assembly is carried out on an Ersa IR550 system.

In addition Syntech Technologies can offer comprehensive final test on completed assemblies.  This can be achieved by the use of the customer's own test solutions or by working with the customer to develop specific automated solutions.

 

Production tracking

Syntech employ a comprehensive Automated Production Control System (APCS) which uses bar code tracking from the moment the bare pcb is placed on the line through to final test, packing and shipping.  The system records all test results for the modules and assemblies and provides complete traceability throughout the build.  This information can be made available directly to our customers through a secure portal to enable them to track production builds, yield data and in conjunction with our engineering team, to assist in design centering.

 

Material Purchasing

Part of the manufacturing service offered by Syntech Technologies is material procurement and kitting.  Syntech have a highly experienced materials procurement team linked to all the major component suppliers.  By taking advantage of Syntech's global purchasing power, we can offer our customers low material costs for even the smallest jobs.
